This section explains how to use DeepTrade to analyze stocks and generate comprehensive investment insights. The multi-agent analysis system provides a unique advantage by combining diverse investment perspectives into a holistic view.
Starting an Analysis
Selecting a Stock
To begin analyzing a stock:
- Navigate to the Trading section from the main navigation bar
- Use the Stock Selector in the sidebar:
- Search by Symbol: Enter a stock ticker (e.g., AAPL, MSFT)
- Search by Name: Type a company name (e.g., Apple, Microsoft)
- Browse Categories: Select from industry categories
- Recent Stocks: Choose from recently analyzed stocks
- Once you've found your stock, click on it to view basic information
- Click the "Analyze" button to begin the analysis process
Basic vs. Comprehensive Analysis
DeepTrade offers two analysis modes:
Basic Analysis:
- Faster results (typically 1-2 minutes)
- Uses fewer agents (Technical, Fundamental, and Portfolio Manager)
- Provides essential insights and recommendations
- Ideal for initial screening or quick decisions
Comprehensive Analysis:
- More thorough results (typically 3-5 minutes)
- Uses all available agents (Value Investors, Growth Investors, Technical, Fundamental, Risk Manager, and Portfolio Manager)
- Provides detailed insights from multiple perspectives
- Ideal for important investment decisions
Select your preferred analysis mode from the dropdown menu next to the "Analyze" button.
Monitoring Analysis Progress
Once you initiate an analysis, the Progress Tracker will show real-time updates:
Progress Stages
- Data Collection: Gathering financial data, news, and market information
- Agent Analysis: Each agent performs its specialized analysis
- Insight Integration: Combining perspectives into a cohesive view
- Recommendation Generation: Formulating the final recommendation
Agent Status Indicators
Each agent has a status indicator showing:
- Queued: Agent waiting to begin analysis
- In Progress: Agent actively analyzing (with progress percentage)
- Complete: Agent has finished analysis
- Error: Agent encountered an issue (with error details)
You can click on any completed agent to preview their analysis while waiting for others to finish.
Understanding the Analysis Process
DeepTrade's analysis process involves several key steps:
1. Data Collection
The system gathers comprehensive data about the stock:
- Financial Statements: Balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements
- Market Data: Price history, volume, technical indicators
- Company Information: Business model, products, management, competitive position
- News and Sentiment: Recent news, analyst opinions, market sentiment
- Industry Context: Sector performance, competitive landscape, market trends
2. Agent Analysis
Each specialized agent analyzes the data according to its investment philosophy:

Value Investors (Warren Buffett, Benjamin Graham, Charlie Munger):
- Assess intrinsic value and margin of safety
- Evaluate competitive advantages and economic moats
- Analyze management quality and capital allocation

The Portfolio Manager agent integrates insights from all other agents:
- Weighs different perspectives based on relevance

- Formulates a balanced recommendation
4. Recommendation Generation
The system generates a comprehensive recommendation including:
- Buy/Hold/Sell recommendation
- Price target range
- Confidence level
- Time horizon
- Key strengths and weaknesses
- Risk assessment
Analyzing Multiple Stocks
DeepTrade allows you to analyze multiple stocks simultaneously:
- Select multiple stocks in the Stock Selector by holding Ctrl (or Cmd) while clicking
- Click "Analyze Selected" to start batch analysis
- Each stock will be analyzed in parallel (depending on your subscription limits)
- Results will appear in the sidebar as they become available
- Click on any completed analysis to view the results
For comparing stocks, use the "Compare" feature:
- Select two or more analyzed stocks
- Click "Compare" in the action menu
- View side-by-side comparison of key metrics and recommendations
Saving and Sharing Analysis
After completing an analysis, you can:
- Save to Portfolio: Add the stock and analysis to your portfolio
- Export PDF: Generate a comprehensive PDF report
- Export CSV: Export raw data and metrics to CSV format
- Share Link: Generate a shareable link (requires account)
- Schedule Update: Set up automatic re-analysis on a schedule
To access saved analyses:
- Navigate to the "History" tab in the sidebar
- Select the desired analysis from the list
- View the saved results or initiate a fresh analysis
Troubleshooting Analysis Issues
If you encounter issues during analysis:
- Slow Analysis: Check your internet connection or try Basic Analysis mode
- Missing Data: Some financial data may not be available for certain stocks
- Analysis Errors: Check the error details and try again
- API Limits: You may have reached your subscription's API limits
